List of Current Events in Epidemiology for this Season
General Directions
Under each current event heading below, there are several articles and information pieces linked and videos embedded (be aware of any possible bias when considering source, however). View all of these resources for an overview of each event then proceed to your assignment:
After viewing all the materials for an event, find a different material on it. Materials can include anything from a news article to a research paper to a public health statement to a video lecture from a professor; anything you are able to find that relates to the event is fair to use. Briefly summarize your material's key points and be ready to share and discuss these at an upcoming meeting.
The due dates for finding a material for each event are linked here. In addition, a quiz will be administered on each current event at the meeting on its due date. These quizzes will all have the same format - several multiple choice questions, several true or false statements, and several short answer prompts. Knowing the information provided for each event in combination with what you find should be enough to perform well on these. If you choose to take notes, they may be used during each quiz.
